don't ask next time

 I,

pick apart

pieces of my life that are good

place them in a series of

playful,

pretty packages that we ripple back and forth.

you,

say, "this is nice."

say, "you don't get your panties in a twist with every little thing."

say, "you're cool, you're amazing."

say, "you haven't done anything,

that's disappointing."

maybe because

we pick apart

pieces of our lives that are good. Tolerable.

Volley with measure.

reality is not exactly

who i wanted to be

but I,

I got it, a hope rekindling,

You wanted more honest

You wanted more open, so

I became more honest

I became more open

and well, you...

I,

picked apart

pieces of life that are left

placed them...

somewhere
